Date
From June 1, 2026 to April 5, 2026.
The Cultural Center of Spain in Miami, together with the Koubek Center and The Bardo Productions, present internationally acclaimed actor, director, and coach Juan López-Tagle, visiting from Madrid to offer the intensive acting workshop Action in the Scene, aimed at professional actors, directors, and screenwriters in Miami.
What makes a character truly matter?
It’s not emotion. It’s action.
What a character needs, fears, and desires is what drives every decision. That’s where truth emerges. That’s where the character comes to life.
The Method
Juan López-Tagle has spent years researching and training actors in international productions, as well as emerging industry talents such as Clara Galle, Maggie Civantos, Julio Peña, Andrea Duro, Adam Jezierski, and Mariona Terés, among others.
His approach is direct: the most effective, healthy, and precise way to create a character does not begin with emotion, but with action.
You will work from the concrete: what the character does, wants, and risks in every moment.
Results
Who is it for?
Professional actors who want to deepen their technique and take their work to the next level.
Directors and screenwriters who understand that character action is built from the writing process through to staging.
What will you work on?
All of this developed over five sessions in conditions close to a professional environment.
