Following the success of past editions, EGEDA U.S. with the special collaboration of the Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA) present and celebrate this new edition of RECENT CINEMA FROM SPAIN, one of the oldest film exhibitions in the United States that will present a selection of the best contemporary Spanish films at the Silver Spot in Downtown Miami from November 15 to 18, 2023.

This year’s opening day will kick off with the film nominated for Best Film at the Malaga International Film Festival NOT SUCH AN EASY LIFE (UNA VIDA NO TAN SIMPLE), directed by Félix Viscarret and starring Miki Esparbé, Alex García and Ana Polvorosa.

The week will feature screenings of feature films that have received excellent reviews from the specialized press, as well as other blockbusters. These include 20,000 Species of Bees (20.000 Especies de Abejas), winner of more than 13 awards at international festivals, including Best Film at the Malaga Festival and the San Sebastian Festival; Robot Dreams, winner of Best Film at the ¨Annecy International Animated Film Festival¨ and nominated in Sitges for ¨Best Animated Film¨; Co-Husbands (Mari-dos), a comedy by Lucia Alemany with a stellar cast that includes Ernesto Alterio, Paco León and Celia Freijeiro among many others, Mi Soledad Tiene Alas, the debut feature by Mario Casas, starring Oscar Casas, which has already ranked as the 11th highest grossing film of 2023, and Little Red Riding Wolf (De Caperucita a Loba), a comedy by Chus Gutierrez that features top talent including José Mota, Berto Romero, Antonio Resines, Santiago Segura, Elena Irureta and Marta Gonzalez among others.

Actors Álex García, Óscar Casas, Paco León and actress Marta González Vega will be present during the event to present their films to Spanish film fans in Miami.
