With the musical show Fumando espero, el penúltimo cuplé, we will travel to the Spanish Belle Époque.
This anthology of “cuplé” takes us to a Spanish cabaret in 1900, where a lively cupletista, accompanied by piano, will perform iconic “cuplés” of the era such as La violetera, El relicario, La pulga, La regadera… while recounting the stories behind the songs and the artists who perform them, the “cupletistas”.
The script and performance are by Spanish actress, singer, and stage director Eugenia Sancho, who will be accompanied on piano by Evita Garrucho.
