Las Migas, the irresistible Spanish group that won the Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album in 2022 for their latest work LIBRES, arrives in Miami after touring almost half the world and being acclaimed in places as distant and different as Latin America and India, their homeland Spain, and countless European cities.

Eighteen years after their founding, Las Migas are already a classic of the most feminine, brave and joyful flamenco. Their approach is clear, modern, and understandable for a wide audience that follows them from many corners of the planet. For this reason, they are one of the most magical and international consolidated bands. Marta Robles on direction, composition and guitar, Carolina “La Chispa” on vocals, Alicia Grillo on the other guitar, and Laura Pacios on violin, form this chameleonic quartet where they play with all colors and styles. Four women, musicians, warriors and travelers who constantly reinvent themselves.

Their unstoppable trajectory led them to release LIBRES in 2022. A luminous, joyful, different, risky album. In it, the artists have shed all their chains, prejudices and fears, and give everything they have. LIBRES is an opening to the world, with nods to distant styles such as country, American pop or urban music, always starting from flamenco and Spanish music that characterizes them and gives them a unique stamp; but in which they invite you to feel the joy, passion, and strength of music from different parts of the world, in a musical journey through multiple places and influences.  Each note of this new album is felt, thought, desired. Each sound is a message that is released to reach far and expand to a thousand corners of the planet, to give warmth and accompany the lives of every person who wants to listen to them.

The Cultural Center of Spain is proud to present Las Migas in concert, as part of FlamenGO 2023. The Miami Dade County Auditorium will be the stage for the incomparable magic of their music. FlamenGo is an annual program created by CCEMiami in 2015 which gives visibility and opportunity to extraordinary young Flamenco artists from Spain.

With this program, the art of Flamenco makes it to the public of South Florida. Some artists of note that have participated in this program include Juan Habichuela Nieto, Kiki Morente, La Flaca, María Toledo, Alberto Raya, the dance company of Alfonso Losa and Vanesa Coloma and El Yiyo.
