About the artist
Debut of Spanish Painter – ELEAZAR – Loved and Banned in SPAIN
Born in Jaén, raised in Madrid and based in Barcelona, Spanish painter, ELEAZAR, uses critical satire and humor to reflect on social issues and cultural myths with irony and irreverence. Pieces from his SPAIN IS DIFFERENT homage to heritage series were censored as a result of the unapologetic commentary and spotlight he shines on modern society – work subsequently acquired for the museum of censorship.
Employing a mix of collage, Basquiat-like characters, strokes akin to street graffiti, the art brut of Dubuffet and the African masks of Picasso, he draws the viewer into his paintings which pay tribute to the primitive innocence found in mankind’s earliest art forms and invites you to participate in the lively scene.
About the gallery
GinaDreamsInColor is the conception of Gina Lam, a luxury marketing executive whose artistic beauty residences with fashion houses – GUCCI, DOLCE&GABBANA, HUGO BOSS, and BURBERRY — have been celebrated across Cartagena, Buenos Aires, Lima, Bariloche, Sao Paulo and Miami. During Miami Art Week, she brings her passion for perfection and creative sensibility to bear on the Americas debut of Spanish artist, ELEAZAR, whose work she stumbled upon while exploring Barcelona’s Barri Gòtic as an expat living in Spain. A child of immigrants, Gina is a Miami-based native New Yorker whose East meets West Chinese-Colombian heritage provides fertile perspective from which to identify and curate talent, showcase a palette of authenticity, and create opportunities for the inspired to be touched by genuine artistry.
