Silueta Publishing presents Barrio Azul (Blue Quarter) by José Abreu Felippe. This is the last issue of the pentalogy El Olvido y la Calma (The Oblivion and the Calm), a work in which Abreu has spent his whole life.
Activities
This last title joins the long bibliography by José Abreu Felipe (La Habana, 1947). This poet and drama writer has published three poetry volumes. His theatre plays are Amar así (Universal, Miami, 1988), Teatro (Verbum, Madrid, 1998) and Rehenes (Ollantay, New York, 2003). He has also published two short story compilations Cuentos mortales (Universal, Miami 2003) and Yo no soy vegetariano (Editorial El Almendro, 2006). He lives in Miami since1983.
The author will be introduced by Rodolfo Martínez Sotomayor (La Habana, 1966). This journalist is also known for his poems, short stories and literary reviews, which have been issued in several magazines and newspapers in the US and Spain.
