Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish publishing company Santillana present a book
about the situation of Spanish language and the community of Spanish speakers
in the US. Written by a team of demographers and specialists in sociolinguistics,
the Enciclopedia del Español en Estados Unidos collects, in 1200 pages, the history,
demography, legal situation, the teaching, the translation, the publishing, the
media, the cultural activities and the literary production of Spanish language in
North America.
In this presentation will participate Humberto López Morales Director of “Asociación
de Academias de la Lengua Española”, Francisco Moreno Fernández,
Academic Director of The Cervantes Institute, Silvia Matute from Santillana USA
and the writer Orlando Rossardi. |
