It is a wedding day in an Andalusian village. The bride is still in love of her former boyfriend, Leonardo. Once married, during the party, the young woman passionately abandons herself to Leonardo and flies away with him. Lorca's poetic tragedy, the tragic sense of life, the death and violence associated with men throughout their lives, is presaged and forecasted by the pain of a mother traumatized by the tragic loss years ago of her husband and one of her sons.
